Why has the ICNLP been formed?

To provide clear and credible standards for training Practitioners, Master Practitioners and Trainers in NLP. To provide a framework of Standards and Ethics, and to foster and support the study and success of NLP.

Has the ICNLP any formal relationship with The Society of NLP, INLPTA or INLPA?

No. The ICNLP is independent of all NLP organisations.

Why are the training standards important?

NLP loses international credibility when training standards are low.

First, people have seen an erosion of the study time to take practitioner, master practitioner and trainer certifications. This has meant that there are many people practising and training NLP that have not had the time or experience to understand and master the skills. The credibility of NLP has suffered, particularly in the business world.

Why are the standards and ethics important?

Because the messenger is more important than the message. NLP loses credibility when the person who practises it does not walk their talk and talk their walk.

Who can join the ICNLP?

Only NLP Trainers who went through an ICNLP Trainers Training and Testing and recieved an ICNLP Trainer certificate are invited to become a part of ICNLP.

ICNLP is a certification organisation not a member organisation.

Will using the standards cramp my training style and make all training the same?

No, ICNLP are minimum standards number of hours, content of the training and skill level of the resulting graduates of the training.

- Trainers may supply courses longer than the minimum time standards.

- Trainers may add more content to the minimum content stipulated.

- Trainers can teach the material in any way they choose.

- Trainers can use any means to judge the resulting skill levels of the graduates.

Who runs the Association and take care of its day-to-day operation?
